Soft Count Clerk
PURPOSE
The Soft Count Clerk will ensure they promote the utmost integrity and respect to all management and staff. Responsible for the count of currency pulled from slot terminals, TITO redemption kiosks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to accept responsibility readily and grasp instruction
Adheres to all policies and procedures for effective and secure cash flow
Responsible for counting all currency and reconciling all associated paperwork
Identify and report counterfeit currency
Daily maintenance of Cummins bill counters
Ensure all applicable paperwork related to the count room/slot cage are provided to the finance manager in a timely and efficient basis
Responsible for the preparation and accuracy of internal/external deposits
Monitor and report security and safety concerns to ensure a safe environment for all staff
Required to handle/verification of large amounts of currency
Problem solving skills when balancing
Computer data entry
Maintain AGLC gaming workers license
Any other duties as required
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position requires communicating clearly and working effectively with Finance Manager, Bear Hills Casino management, supervisors, and staff.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND /OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma an asset
Must be able to register with AGLC
Entry level accounting an asset
Large cash handling or banking experience an asset
Previous casino count room experience an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
The count room clerk will be required to work with other count room clerks. It would require the candidate to start early mornings until early afternoon. The schedule varies and must be available weekends and holidays.
