Security Supervisor
PURPOSE
The primary role of this position is to ensure the security standards and ensure policy and procedures are maintained. The Security Supervisor will demonstrate leadership and a professional image to all guests, employees, local community representatives, vendors and governing agencies while maintaining employer standards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality assurance and asset protection.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that all aspects of the Security Department are met and or exceed the casino and regulators standards. Manages, contributes, and applies strategies to improve processes, standards, customer service and team morale.
Supervises and participates in the security team activities and shifts by leading, training, mentoring, evaluation and providing feedback as appropriate.
Conducts investigations, determines findings, and informs management & police as required. Maintains building access and controls and ensures that department initiatives, such as building evacuation are coordinated with department and casino staff.
Retains a thorough and update knowledge of company policies and procedures, provincial and local regulations for casino operations
Liaises with the management team and participates in casino initiatives.
Contributes to the service standard and department budget. Ensures scheduling and expenditures are controlled.
Holds meetings with staff.
Acts as a role model within and outside the casino
Ensures all security related information is kept confidential and not shared outside of Bear Hills Casino players, employees, security systems, surveillance systems, delivery schedules, etc.
Works with Gamesense Representatives assuring all SE documents are updated regularly and reports all SE re-entries to AGLC.
Tracks and verifies that all employee gaming license registration are active and not expired.
Take part and aid on all internal investigations and provide, collect, organize, and store all witness statements, footage and evidence related to them. Provide legal statement in any occurrence that requires a court appearance.
Assist in operating, maintaining, and upgrading the security surveillance systems to the acceptable industry standard with the assistance of the existing monitoring company. This includes emergencies and after hours. As well as being responsible for AGLC inspections and conforming to AGLC Terms and Conditions pertaining to surveillance.
With the General Manager, Security Manager, and Facilities Manager, will help plan the future of Bear Hills Casino’s surveillance upgrades needed and cost these out.
Train surveillance staff and ensure they can operate the system on their own.

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
This position requires the ability to communicate clearly, deal tactfully and work effectively with Bear Hills Casino management, staff, and patrons. The incumbent in this position will primarily work with Security Officers and management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The Security Supervisor must be able to respond or work on any given day, and may have to work night shifts. The Security Supervisor must have the ability to focus on a computer for extended periods of time and may be expected to work extended hours in order to meet the objectives or deadlines of the Employer. Some travel may be necessary. Bear Hills Casino is a smoking allowed facility and the Security Supervisor will, at times be required to work in smoky conditions.
