Reports To: Facilities Supervisor
PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the custodian is to maintain a safe and clean environment at Bear Hills Casino & Travel Resort. The key role would be to upkeep the cleanliness of the gaming floor, all washrooms, bar, restaurant, and staff lounge area to a high standard.
ROLE
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor and will follow the duty list that provides directions to areas and require regular cleaning throughout the day or evening.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Keep cleaning areas always tidy and cleaning materials safely stored.
Maintain polite and good communication with coworkers and customers at all times.
Follow all Bear Hills Casino & Travel Resort Safety and Security Policies & Procedures, report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries, complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
Customer service excellence-always
Sanitize slot machines.
Wipe chairs at machines
Clean and sanitize washrooms on gaming floor and in the Aurora. Including: scrubbing all toilets and urinals, wipe washroom counters, sinks, mirrors, and mirror frames, walls around sink area, under the hand dryers, locks on doors, toilet paper and paper towel dispensers
Sweep and mop washroom floors.
Maintain Parking Lot-garbage pickup.
Re-Stock toilet paper, soap in dispensers, paper towels, feminine hygiene products/bags, urinal pucks etc.
Throughout day clean “touch points” on slot machines
Throughout day clean ledges, counters, surfaces around slot machines
Clean staff lounge, vacuum when needed, wipe down tables and counter.
Clean staff smoke room, vacuum when needed.
Clean staff washrooms
At least once a month, clean walls in staff smoking room.
Empty and wipe down all garbage cans in the facility.
Vacuum the stairwells when needed.
Clean all the glass on the gaming floor and doors and windows.
Wipe and dust walls and ceilings when needed.
Take direction from Management/ Supervisors when called upon.
IMPACT OF ACTION
The Custodian has a direct impact on the ability to provide Bear Hills Casino guests, staff, and management with a safe and suitable environment in which to visit and/or work.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The position requires the ability to communicate clearly, deal tactfully and work effectively with Bear Hills Casino staff and management. The incumbent in this position will provide important cleaning services for Bear Hills Casino and Bear Hills Petro Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Customer service skills
Able to work as a part of a team.

Ability to work calmly under pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions and physical capabilities, fast paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. Must tolerate working in a smoking environment.
Dress Code: Black pants or jeans. No holes, rips tears and no tights, capris, shorts, or sweatpants), black socks, Black non-slip shoes and shirt issued by Bear Hills Casino & Travel Resort
