Lounge Server/Bartender
PURPOSE
A server/bartender direct job is to take food or drink orders from customers. Using a wide knowledge of mixed drinks and alcohols, they promptly prepare the drinks and serve them before moving to the next order. They must then collect payment for the drinks and process the sale. A server’s role is to serve prepared food and drinks in the lounge, take drink orders and deliver to the gaming floor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Count your float at the beginning and end of shift, as well as do a daily cash out of your sales
Set up bar at the beginning of shift, and break down and clean the bar on nights after closing
Check all C02 cylinders, pop bibs, kegs, and beer gas and change as needed.
Clean sink and ice wells counters etc.
Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
Stock coolers and fill straws, prep garnishes, and condiments, roll utensils
Empty ashtrays on the gaming floor as well as collecting empties
Collect all empties, plates and silverware as required, and keep area clean and free of garbage
Serve the casino gaming floor, table games and lounge patrons
Unload and put away clean dishes from dishwasher
Wipe down lounge tables, when necessary, place chairs on tables at night, and take the chairs down in the morning before the casino opens
Take apart guns clean and put back together, wipe down all bottles and close all products used during your shift
Ensure proper stock rotation and implement promotions designed to clear out old stock prior to its expiration.
Maintain coffee and supplies on the gaming floor and lounge
Knowledge of all promotions in the Lounge department.
Lock all coolers and liquor at the end of shift, as well as cupboards
Ensure that daily, monthly, and weekly cleaning lists are being completed
Sweep and mop behind the bar, as well as in back server hallway
Check glass washer chemicals, and record chemical levels daily
Take direction from management when called upon
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mathematic skills: basic math may be needed to verify cash receipts
Familiar and knowledge of dealing with cash transactions
Customer service skills, servers need proper customer services skills as they have a lot of interaction with patrons
Physical Coordination: The server must have the ability to move drink/food trays effectively across the gaming floor and lounge.
Communication Skills: Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are important for the server to communicate effectively with patrons, kitchen staff and porters.
Able to work as a part of a team
Able to work with little supervision
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Has some experience in food handling, cash handling, customer service and/or serving
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Server/Bartender requires the ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with Bear Hills Casino guests, management, and staff. The incumbent in this position will primarily work with lounge staff and Lounge Supervisor
WORKING CONDITIONS
The server/bartender must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time or spend long periods of time on one’s feet. They may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. The server/bartender will be working in a smoking facility.
